Meet the Maker day 13

Day 13 #marchmeetthemaker is photography OK confession up front – product photography is a weak spot for me! Taking photos of little things that fit in a little folding soft box I have is fine. But larger things like these bags, or prints i find tricky. Especially framed prints… the reflections!

Illustration Fair at House of Illustration

I had a great time at the Illustration Fair on 22nd June, here’s a few pictures of my stand.

Firstly here’s the collage backdrop I made to look like a weird granny’s living room complete with fake power socket painted on.  There’s a bear, bird and beetroot damask patterned “wallpaper” below the picture rail and a very fetching grey stripe above, also a grey paper standard lamp and chandelier.  It was fun making a >2m sq collage, but in retrospect, for future shows I would keep my backdrop more plain, it was a bit distracting from my prints!

and here’s some photos of everything in situ.  Most of the prints are also available from my Folksy or Etsy shops.

The bags, cards and tea towels will be online shortly.
